Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists Launches International Patient Lounge to Strengthen Medical Tourism; Partners with Innoquest to Establish Malaysia’s First In-House Diagnostic Lab in a Stand-Alone IVF Centre

International Patient Lounge centralises multilingual concierge, visa and accommodation support for cross-border patients

Strategic partnership with Innoquest to operate an on-site diagnostic lab – first for a stand-alone IVF centre in Malaysia

Same-day results enable faster clinical decisions, reducing waiting time and expanding daily capacity

Launch ceremony on 25 August 2025

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 22 August 2025 – Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists Kuala Lumpur (“Alpha KL”), part of Alpha IVF Group Berhad (“Alpha IVF Group” or “the Group”), announces the opening of its International Patient Lounge and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Innoquest to operate an in-house diagnostic laboratory within the centre. The integrated development positions Alpha KL as the first stand-alone IVF centre in Malaysia with a comprehensive on-site diagnostics facility, and among the first in Southeast Asia.

Aligned with Visit Malaysia 2026 and the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council’s drive for seamless, end-to-end care, the International Patient Lounge addresses consistent growth in international demand from around the world, particularly across ASEAN/Southeast Asia, with Indonesia and China among key markets. Designed as a one-stop hub, the Lounge has a single aim which is to make overseas patients feel at home and in control from first enquiry to recovery. A multilingual team (including Bahasa Indonesia and Mandarin) removes language and process barriers, so timelines, documentation and clinical decisions are clear at every step. The Lounge also supports Tourism Selangor’s agenda to attract high-value health travellers by elevating the medical journey as part of the overall destination experience in Selangor.

Operationally, the Lounge functions as a single gateway with accountable case ownership. A dedicated team prepares visa letters, sequences appointments to flight windows, coordinates medical records and arranges accommodation, airport transfers and local transport. In-centre, the team provides real-time translation during consultations, manages billing and multi-currency payments, and offers private discussion and family areas. By centralising these workflows in one location, Alpha KL reduces friction, shortens the enquiry-to-treatment interval and improves conversion, strengthening Selangor’s position as a trusted healthcare destination for ASEAN and global patients.

In parallel, Alpha KL signs an MoU with Innoquest to operate an in-house diagnostic laboratory embedded in the care pathway. Innoquest provides on-site phlebotomy, validated quality systems and integrated digital reporting, so clinicians access fast, accurate results in the same visit. The facility supports diagnostics central to fertility and women’s health, including fertility-critical hormone monitoring (such as AMH, β-hCG, estradiol, progesterone, FSH and LH), infectious disease screening (HIV, Hepatitis B markers, anti-HCV, syphilis) and women’s health/general panels (Vitamin D, thyroid profile, full blood count, blood group and Rhesus, urinalysis). Moving these traditionally longer-wait assays in-house, reduces repeat visits and increases daily capacity, while maintaining analytical rigour under the governance of Innoquest.

Together, the International Patient Lounge and the in-house lab creates a single, integrated pathway from arrival and assessment to diagnostics and treatment planning. The model enhances patient experience, strengthens operational efficiency and supports the Group’s strategy in medical tourism.

“Malaysia’s medical tourism relies on experience as much as outcomes.”

“Our International Patient Lounge gives overseas patients a single, multilingual point of care, from visas and travel to translation and treatment, and our partnership with Innoquest brings hospital-grade diagnostics into the centre. Together, these investments shorten the time from test to treatment, enable same-visit clinical decisions and expand capacity, while keeping results fast and accurate under robust quality systems.”

Dato’ Dr. Colin Lee Soon Soo (拿督 李顺树医生) Group Managing Director, Alpha IVF

The International Patient Lounge launches on 25 August 2025 at Alpha KL and is officiated by Dato’ Dr. Colin Lee, together with Madam Chua Yee Ling, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Selangor, and YB Dato’ Ng Suee Lin, EXCO Tourism Selangor. Guests scheduled to attend include senior representatives from the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC), as well as senior management of Innoquest. The ceremony then includes the MoU signing with Innoquest, thereby inaugurating the in-house diagnostic laboratory at Alpha KL.
