Alpha IVF opens Manila fertility centre, expands regional footprint
KUALA LUMPUR: Alpha IVF Group Bhd has officially begun operations at its new in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) centre in the Philippines, marking the company’s second overseas facility and a key step in its Southeast Asia expansion strategy.
In a statement, the company said the centre joins Alpha IVF’s existing international facility in Singapore and is expected to become a meaningful revenue contributor from financial year 2027 (FY27) as patient volumes grow.
Group managing director Datuk Dr Colin Lee Soon Soo said the centre located at Quezon City, Manila will leverage the company’s strong clinical track record to deliver high pregnancy success rates.
“By translating our proven methodologies to Manila, we will replicate the exceptional pregnancy outcomes we are known for.
“We are optimistic that our Manila IVF centre will benefit from the wealth of experience that we have, catering to the underserved market in the Philippines,” he said.
The centre sits within one of the country’s busiest urban corridors, with access to Caloocan, Manila City, Marikina, Pasig, Bulacan and Rizal — a combined population catchment of more than 20 million.
Premium fertility services remain limited in the Philippines, making the Alpha IVF’s entry timely as it introduces advanced reproductive technologies and internationally benchmarked treatment standards to local couples.
Alpha IVF has invested RM9 million in the Manila facility, funded by IPO proceeds.
The centre is equipped to handle up to 1,500 oocyte pick-ups annually and provides a full suite of fertility and reproductive treatments supported by state-of-the-art laboratories.
To enhance the centre’s long-term profitability, Alpha IVF is engaging Philippine government agencies to secure a targeted fiscal incentive package, including income tax holidays and duty/VAT exemptions.
These incentives are expected to lower operating costs, strengthen cash flow and improve overall returns to shareholders.
