Alpha IVF Expands Into Indonesia With New Bali Centre

Alpha IVF Group Bhd has kicked off construction of its first full-fledged IVF centre in Bali’s Sanur Special Economic Zone (SEZ), marking a major milestone in the group’s regional expansion strategy and its largest move yet into Indonesia’s fast-growing fertility market.
The new Bali centre signals Alpha IVF’s intent to capture rising fertility demand in Indonesia, its largest international patient source, as awareness, accessibility and outbound treatment continue to surge.
Group Managing Director Datuk Dr Colin Lee said the Bali investment positions the group to secure a meaningful share of the expanding market while strengthening its international footprint.
“The 2,147 sqm Bali IVF Centre forms the cornerstone of Alpha IVF’s Indonesia strategy, integrating with a growing nationwide satellite clinic network.
“The facility will provide a complete suite of fertility services, advanced reproductive technologies, women’s wellness programmes and laparoscopic and gynaecological surgeries,” Dr Lee said.
He added that Indonesia has long relied on Alpha IVF’s services, and establishing a centre locally allows the group to meet demand more efficiently while delivering care closer to home.
Developed through a 75:25 joint venture with PT Delemont Global Venture under PT Alpha IVF Dan SPOG Bali, the project represents a RM26.4 million investment over three years, with Alpha IVF committing RM19.8 million.
Slated to open in early 2027, the centre will feature an annual capacity of 1,500 oocyte pick-ups and operate under Alpha IVF’s proprietary ‘System of Systems’, a standardised, scalable clinical model credited with delivering consistently high pregnancy outcomes across its network. This unified operating model also improves cost efficiency and margins as new centres come online.
Beyond enhancing clinical capacity, Dr Lee said the Bali IVF Centre will generate new medical and non-medical jobs, uplift local expertise in reproductive medicine and embryology, and support Indonesia’s ambition to develop Bali into a leading medical tourism hub.
He emphasised that the centre is poised to drive Alpha IVF’s next phase of growth.
“The establishment of the Sanur SEZ has paved the way for us to expand into Indonesia,” Dr Lee said, noting the government’s push to elevate Bali’s healthcare ecosystem.
With strong patient flows from Indonesia, China, Singapore, Australia and beyond, Dr Lee expects the Bali centre to be a significant catalyst for capacity expansion, diversified earnings and strengthened medical tourism revenue.
