Alpha IVF Expands Further In Indonesia With New Jakarta Fertility Centre

Alpha IVF Group Bhd is deepening its expansion in Indonesia with plans to establish a second in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) centre in the country, targeting the large and underpenetrated fertility treatment market in the Greater Jakarta area.

The group has secured a clinical space lease through its Indonesian subsidiary, PT Alpha IVF Dan SPOG Jakarta, with PT Surya Inter Wiesa for a new centre at the biomedical campus in Bumi Serpong Damai City within Banten’s Special Economic Zone.

The facility is scheduled to begin operations in October 2026 and will benefit from incentives and regulatory support designed to attract advanced healthcare investments. The zone is privately managed by Sinar Mas Land.

The Jakarta centre marks the group’s second IVF development in Indonesia, following its Bali facility currently under construction at the Sanur Special Economic Zone, which is expected to start operations in 2027.

Group Managing Director Colin Lee Soon Soo said the move targets strong demand in the Jabodetabek region, where fertility treatment activity is heavily concentrated.

With a population exceeding 270 million and relatively low IVF penetration, Indonesia represents one of Asia’s largest untapped fertility markets.

Alpha IVF has secured about 612 sq m of clinical and laboratory space for the centre and plans to invest roughly RM10.9 million, funded through IPO proceeds and internal funds. The facility will incorporate advanced technologies including artificial intelligence-assisted embryo selection, time-lapse embryo monitoring and preimplantation genetic testing to support internationally benchmarked success rates.
